SITA Sud runs the public buses along the Amalfi Coast road. The Amalfi – Positano – Sorrento corridor calls at Conca / Grotta Smeraldo, Praiano, Positano (Sponda) and Positano (Chiesa Nuova), and the same ticket, validation and boarding rules apply in both directions.

    Valid for: 24 hours from first validation

    Unlimited SITA Sud travel in the listed Amalfi Coast and Sorrento-area municipalities, including Amalfi and Positano. It is personal and non-transferable, and must be validated on first use. Worth considering if you are making several SITA journeys, but not necessarily the cheapest ticket for a single trip.

    2. Keep the ticket in the app — you check in with it as you board.

    Paper tickets are sold in Amalfi at authorised sales points and at SITA ticket sales.

    1. Buy a paper SITA Sud / Campania transit ticket at an authorised sales point or at SITA ticket sales in Amalfi.
    2. Keep the ticket to hand: it has to be validated at the start of the journey.

    Getting on, and validating your ticket

    Wait at the stop for your direction, check the destination shown on the bus, and validate or check in as you get on.

    1. Wait at the SITA stop for your direction. In central Amalfi the main bus passenger area is around Piazza Flavio Gioia; in Positano, services use Positano (Chiesa Nuova) and Positano (Sponda).
    2. Check the current departure information before you board.
    3. Read the destination displayed on the bus — the displayed destination is what identifies the service, so read it before you get on.
    4. Board with your ticket ready.
    5. Validate your ticket at the beginning of the journey. With a supported electronic ticket, check in when you board.

    Validation is not optional: the ticket must be validated at the start of the journey.

    Leaving the service at your stop

    Get off at the stop that suits your destination — coastal towns are served by more than one stop.

    1. Know which stop you want before you travel: Positano, for example, is served by more than one SITA stop, including Positano (Sponda) and Positano (Chiesa Nuova).
    2. Confirm your stop against the service you are on — not every service necessarily calls at every stop.
    3. In Amalfi, the main central bus arrival and departure area is around Piazza Flavio Gioia.
